Maria joined Intuitus as Delivery Support Manager in March 2012. At that time, she was the company’s fourth employee. Her role was largely delivery support and centered on two key areas: supporting the delivery of client engagements and the on-boarding of consultants that were being brought into the Intuitus network. The company’s growth meant that the bandwidth of the existing team badly needed to be extended if quality of service was not to be adversely affected, and Maria’s attention to detail and commitment to the role made a vital difference.
Over the course of her five years with Intuitus, to May this year, Maria took on significantly more responsibility. Not only was she central to the recruitment, management and development of several programme office personnel but she also documented the company’s business processes as a precursor to introducing and training employees in the use of new systems.
This transformational role changed the way in which the company worked and ensured that we had the necessary controls for the management of (what is currently) more than 100 concurrent projects. Perhaps even more significantly, Maria took full ownership of the consultant recruitment and induction processes, ensuring that Intuitus always had access to the relevant consulting expertise, when required. There were many facets to this particular role. One of the most important of these was an initial communication with prospective consultants where she had to both “sell” the company to the consultants and at the same time undertake an initial assessment of their suitability to work with Intuitus.
Maria is a very well organised person and an excellent communicator. She is a naturally creative thinker and was always looking for ways in which she could make a difference - she cared deeply about her work and supported others without hesitation. Overall, she made a significant contribution, both to Intuitus’ growth and to a special team spirit.
